According to reports, conservatives in the White House are winning on the decision over the Paris Climate accord.
The white house is concerned that staying in the accord would give environmental extremist a legal argument to prevent Trump from repealing climate regulations.
Axios reports that talks are ongoing, but discussions are only ongoing to the top levels of the White House staff:
“[T]his is solely down to the big dogs in the West Wing. Support staff has been told to stand down and the President will sort it out with input from the Bannons, Cohns, and Kushners of the world,” an industry source familiar with the discussions tells Axios.
A White House source cautioned that the battle is “tough” and ongoing.
Fox: Bannon & EPA Chief Scott Pruitt are advising @POTUS to exit the Paris Climate Agreement. Jared & Ivanka are advising him to remain.
