Dennis Rodman presented North Korea’s sports minister with a copy of US president Donald Trump’s book “The Art of the Deal” and praised the country’s top athletes as the ex-NBA star’s visit to the country continued on Thursday in the North Korean capitol Pyongyang.
Rodman also presented other gifts for Kim Jong Un that include a copy of “Where’s Waldo? The Totally Essential Travel Collection,” a mermaid puzzle, two sets of soap and two autographed jerseys.
Rodman could be a good intermediary in an attempt to thaw relations between the US and North Korea because of his friendship with Trump and Kim, whom he personally met and serenaded by singing “Happy Birthday” from a basketball court.
Rodman said that he was “trying to open the door” between the US and North Korea. He met for a formal gift-giving ceremony with Sports Minister Kim Il-guk.
