Vice President Mike Pence has branded North Korea’s failed missile test a ‘provocation’ in a speech at the start of a visit in Seoul, South Korea.
Pence spoke out after a failed missile test by North Korea in a botched show of force by dictator Kim Jong-un.
Speaking to US troops in South Korea ahead of an Easter Sunday dinner, Pence said, “This morning’s provocation from the north is just the latest reminder of the risks each one of you face every day in defense of the freedom of the people of South Korea, and the defense of America in this part of the world.”
“Your willingness to step forward to serve, to stand firm without fear inspires our nation and inspires the world.”
Pence added the United State’s commitment to South Korea was stronger than ever.
